I began my career with CSI Software in June of 2009 as a Technical Support Specialist. In the years since, I have moved through many different departments and roles. Each position gave me new experiences in the various aspects of our company and its interaction with our clients. I have always been a very technical person and with a high desire to know the “why” behind any problems/issues that I am faced with. I’m currently a part of the Quality Assurance Team as a QA Engineer since October 2015; the team has been outstanding, and our Team Lead is very supportive of all of our efforts.
It has been a little over 30 days since we have started the CSI and Daxko culture integration. I can tell that Team Houston is very excited to become a part of the Daxko Nation by the various subtle changes in our Houston office. By the way, a HUGE shout-out to The People Team for all their work in assisting with the culture integration. The People Team and everyone at Daxko is very high energy, and meeting with the entire team for the 2016 Kickoff in Birmingham was very exciting.
For each role I have taken at CSI throughout the years, the Team Lead(s) of each department have always been very supportive and encouraging of my thoughts and ideas on increasing productivity and success within the department. I always felt that a building block for success should always include great teamwork and communication. Moving forward, we can see how our Daxko Birmingham team members operate, so that we can share ideas with each other on improving processes. We should all strive to better ourselves each day and to have an open mind towards changes, whether we agree with them personally or not. Sometimes we have to take a step back and look at the bigger picture to be able to see the true purpose/goals of all the decisions that are made.
As someone who believes that we must better ourselves daily, physically and/or mentally, I live by these motivational quotes by Bruce Lee:
- If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them
- Knowing is not enough; We must apply. Willing is not enough; We must do.
- A goal is not always meant to be reached, it often serves simply as something to aim at.
