According to web application performance firm New Relic, people, on average, check their mobile phones every 6.5 minutes and about 150 times a day. Each smart phone owner uses an average of 41 apps and spends 127 minutes a day in mobile applications.

With increasing amount of daily obligations during work and leisure hours, mobile phones are considered to be one of the best places to spend time during breaks, for reading news, and to relax. Demands for children’s activities are increasing as well, leaving parents barely able to squeeze in a moment to catch their breath, let alone remember every single detail about their day or week.

Mobile is the perfect way to reach the 77% of adults ages 20- 35 that carry smartphones. Are you reaching out to your members through mobile?

Even Active Older Adults, ages 55 and up, are adopting the mobile trend. According to Neilsen, in Mobile Majority: U.S. Smartphone Ownership Tops 60%, the penetration of smartphones among Americans age 55+ is 42% and climbing higher. The rate of smartphones among active adults 55+ has nearly doubled over the past year according to stats from June 2013.

Consider adopting a mobile strategy to connect with your members. The move to mobile is not slowing down. It’s vital for all firms, brands, and organizations to develop and improve their presence on mobile platforms. Best of all, it is one of the easiest ways to keep your members engaged and connected to your organization.
