ACTIVE MEMBERSHIPS JULY 2017 vs JULY 2016
Active members are inclusive of all units with a status of “active” as of the last day of the month reported. Active memberships are cumulative by nature and impacted by past and current monthly rates.
MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP RATES
Active Memberships for the month of July decreased 0.11% compared to the previous month. This data reflects a modest cumulative loss in total membership.
New memberships for the month of July decreased 24.81% compared to the previous month. This decrease suggests a potential seasonal trend of negative membership gains during summer months.
Rejoined memberships for the month of July decreased 17.27% compared to the previous month. This suggests a potential seasonal trend of low rejoin rates during summer programming that differs from pre-summer registration months when rejoins experienced an increase.
Terminated memberships for the month of July decreased 6.94% compared to the previous month. This suggests a positive seasonal trend in retention during summer months and programming efforts.

The Daxko Membership Index Report is published monthly by the Daxko Data Team. This snapshot of membership unit trends is based on transactional data from 600+ YMCAs that utilize Daxko Operations.
*Regions are defined geographically according to the National Geographic Society resource database.
*Year over Year (YoY) data represent benchmarking percentages from the same dates of the previous year (i.e. January 2017 data benchmarks against January 2016 data).
*Month over Month (MoM) data represent benchmarking percentages from the previous month to the current month (i.e. January 2017 against February 2017 data).
*Year/Month displays identical information to MoM percent change calculation over a rolling 13-month time period.
*Data for this report is compiled monthly and a full year of monthly snapshots are used.
