I’m Back!

As James Brown says in his song, Get Up Offa That Thing,….I’m back!  Yes, I’ve been gone for a while but now I have returned and I am so excited. Welcome back CJ

I have been out of the office on maternity leave for 8 weeks. There is nothing better than spending time at home with a new born child.  I loved it! But I had to return.  Not because it is my job but because I missed it. For most people, returning to their job after being off for so long and for this particular reason, it proves to be a hard and somewhat sad transition.  Not for me! I work at Daxko with some of the best people in the world.  It has been great!

My first day back was the first day of our annual kickoff.  This is an event that no one wants to miss. It is filled with tons of information about the health of the company, great team building meetings and games. It was great seeing other team members and catching up with the happenings at Daxko.

I have finished my first week back in the office and I realize, again, why I love Daxko. Here are a few highlights of things that I think are unique to Daxko.

  • The People – There is no way I could find more caring and supportive co-workers.  From a big welcome back sign at my desk to random check ins just to make sure I am ok, the people at Daxko are incredible.  I have been laughing and sharing stories since day 1.  No one can top what I have here!
  • The Fun – As I mentioned above, I have been laughing every since I got back. We were all a part of a team competition that challenged our silliness at Kickoff.  The videos created gave everyone a sore face or stomach from laughing so hard.  And I can’t go on without mentioning my laughing/sparring buddies on the Accounting team. Hard laughs are to be expected daily.
  • The Passion – From leadership to team mates, everyone continues to have a passion for providing the best.  This is evident by the excitement we all have about the accomplishments of other teams, the new features of our software or even hearing about who received Achiever’s Club awards this year.  Although we continue to grow in number, that passion stays the same.

These are just a few things that I am certain I would not be able to find anywhere else.  I love Daxko! And I am glad to be back and at it again.
