April is the Senior Vice President of Marketing at Daxko. As a member of Daxko’s executive team since 2000, April has played an integral role in growing the company from its earliest days with eight employees to more than 230 team members and a leading market position. During her tenure at Daxko, April has been a member of Daxko’s executive team with positions in General Management, Marketing Leadership, Sales Leadership, and Product Management Leadership, all reporting to the CEO. April and her team are responsible for creating the demand that fuels Daxko’s growth through thought leadership content, building brand awareness, and education on the value of our products and services.
April graduated with a BA in International Studies from The University of Alabama, and worked in France, Germany and Brazil before relocating to the United States. April is a graduate of the Momentum Leadership program, Steering Committee Member for the Momentum Leadership Conference, past Vice President of the Alabama Information Technology Association, and is involved with local marketing and technology initiatives including the Birmingham AMA and Tech Birmingham.
April, her husband, and their two children live in Vestavia.
As Senior Vice President of Services, Britney is responsible for the overall strategy and execution of Daxko's service philosophies. She leads our software implementation, software adoption/consulting, training, support, data conversion, and delivery services teams to WOW our customers with every interaction. Prior to her current role, Britney created Daxko's service delivery business unit and also served as Daxko's vice president of market strategy. Her leadership at Daxko has been instrumental in consistently driving strong, operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Britney has been a member of the Daxko team since 2000. She holds a bachelor's degree in public relations from Auburn University and received education and certificates from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University. Britney serves on the managing board of directors of the Birmingham YMCA Metro Board and is the chairman of the Shades Valley YMCA board. She is also a board member for the Daxko Foundation, and a junior board member for the Glenwood Autism and Behavioral Health Center, and on the Auburn University Public Relations Advisory Board. She is a member of the Birmingham Track Club, the Birmingham Service Guild, and is a Bell Center volunteer.
David serves as president and CEO of Daxko. He is responsible for leading the company’s strategic direction, growth, and unique culture. Prior to joining Daxko, he held management positions at Calico Commerce (now part of Oracle) and in Grant Thornton’s management consulting practice in Chicago. His past clients include a number of Fortune 500 corporations and leading technology companies. In addition to his position at Daxko, David is on the board of directors of YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly, on the board of directors and executive committee of McWane Science Center, a member of Birmingham Venture Club, a member and past chairman of TechBirmingham, and an emeritus member of the Auburn University College of Business advisory council. David holds a Bachelor of Science in management information systems from Auburn University. He and his wife, Susan, along with their three children, live in Birmingham. They are active members of the Birmingham YMCA and their local church.
As VP of People, Dawn is responsible for helping the Daxko team find great talent, developing team members, and preserving Daxko unique culture. Daxko recently placed 24th in the Great Place To Work Institute’s “50 Best Small and Medium Workplaces” in the US. In addition, Daxko has been the recipient of several people-friendly awards including Achievers “50 Most Engaged Workplaces” in the US, the Birmingham Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work in Birmingham” and featured in Fortune Small Business “7 Great Places to Work”. Dawn has over 15 years progressive HR experience. In addition to Daxko, Dawn held a variety of HR leadership roles for MailSouth, a national Direct Mail Advertising company who received Birmingham Magazine’s recognition as “50 Companies We Admire”. Dawn was awarded Top HR Executive for medium sized companies by the Birmingham Business Journal. A member of the Birmingham Society of Human Resource Management, she received the chapters’ Leadership Excellence Award for her board role as VP of Community Relations. In addition, Dawn is a former contributor for Fistful of Talent, a featured blog on Workforce Management Magazine Online, and has her own HR blog HR Insomniac. Also, Dawn is a sought-after regional speaker discussing a variety of HR topics including cultural engagement. Dawn is a graduate from the University of Southern Mississippi, holds a Master’s in HR Management from the University of Alabama as well as the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification designation.
Jonathan is the newest addition to the senior leadership team and heads up business development. With over 13 years in sales experience, he began his career as an entrepreneur after college by opening a household goods distribution company specializing in Cutco Cutlery. After a successful, 4 year run, Jonathan spent nine years with Automatic Data Processing (ADP) in the Major Accounts Division with various roles including: producer, management, and senior leadership roles. Under his direction, sales doubled from 2010 to 2013 and the four state territory received multiple awards for growth, development, and achievement.
Jonathan specializes in sales leadership and strategy through process management and people development. Through value based selling, he teaches a top down approach focused on the customer’s goals and objectives not a feature, functionality download.
Personally, Jonathan and his wife, Erin and three children all recently relocated from Nashville, TN to Birmingham, AL.
Matt serves as the SVP of Software Products, with overall responsibility for the software products business. Matt has extensive leadership and consulting experience in the non-profit software, financial services, IT consulting, automotive, and advertising industries, including experience at companies such as SunGard, Accenture, General Motors, Chrysler, and JWT. He has a solid track record of building and supporting enterprise software platforms across several industries. Matt is a graduate of the University of Illinois and holds a M.S.E. degree from the University of Michigan.
On the lighter side, a great day for Matt is sitting with a customer discussing their business/processes and then brainstorming on a technology solution to improve their efficiency and ultimately make them more successful. Matt considers himself fortunate to work for a company where the solutions delivered ultimately affect people in the community. Matt can be found on Twitter at @mattcowell and LinkedIn. Tom is leader of Daxko T2 Consulting, provider of consulting services in the areas of planning, marketing, financial development, and facilities. Tom founded Triangle2 in 2000 and was CEO until Daxko acquired the company in 2011. Prior to Triangle2, Tom was a senior consultant for the YMCA of the USA and head of the Program Division. Tom has also held several management positions with the YMCA: CEO, COO, VP, and Branch Executive. Tom has BS and MS degrees from Henderson State University, and an ABD from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Winston is responsible for all financial and administrative activities of Daxko, including financial planning and analysis, accounting and controls, and legal affairs. Prior to joining Daxko, Winston worked for 16 years as an associate, vice president, and managing director in Harbert Management Corporation’s Private Equity Group. While at Harbert, Winston focused on acquisitions and divestitures of lower middle market companies (companies with revenues between $20 and $100 million) across a broad range of industries. Winston began his career in accounting at Ernst & Young and later joined McKinsey & Company as a management consultant. A Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant, Winston received his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Alabama and his MBA from Harvard University.
